Kicked into a sparsely occupied section, (thrown from fan of an IRRELEVANT club)in that stand that received no condemnation it appears re this incident from the media!?...Agreed an error on Leigh's part though.

Ach, the media can hardly be seen to be condoning Griffith's actions so I'm not surprised there is nothing said about the Saints fans.

I think what's kind of being ignored about this whole thing is the revelation that the Leigh Griffiths loan deal was essentially a pay as you play deal from us (Celtic covered his full wages and we paid performance related bonuses).

Makes that signing completely understandable IMO. Just a massive, massive pity for us and for Griffiths himself that he didn't decide to knuckle down otherwise he wouldn't be playing for free in public parks in Australia.

Think Griffiths will be a very sad tale that happens too often in football. Too much talent, not enough brains. What is it, within 3-4 year he's went from the peak of his career smashing it at Celtic, putting two free kicks past England at Wembley to playing in League One of Scotland for Falkirk and then going to the lower leagues of Australia just to play football without being hounded for stuff you've done off the field. Just a waste.

Overheard a very lengthy conversation at a game, didn't have much choice tbh, re his financial problems, not long after he'd headed to Australia. Apparently he was in a pretty bad way financially and that's bound have had an affect on him . The person openly (very loudly) discussing his private affairs should've been a wee bit more discreet but chose to let everyone around know his personal business. The set up of the ground and being with a supporter in a wheelchair meant we had no opportunity to move and no other option but to sit through it. Disregarding the fact he was an ex-Dee it was still pretty much impossible not to feel some level of sympathy for him.

Surely the police box in that corner has cctv to catch people who do this stuff? They have had long enough

Only interest anyone in that Police Box has  is to stop anyone in The Derry having fun and enjoying themselves and then  ruin the place with fences etc....

If you think that the guy with a loud voice should have been more discreet regarding his private life then surely you should be more discreet about it as well then Rev??

After all you are openly talking about it on here, just as loudmouth at the game did...
