Boyle signs permanent Hibs deal

HIBERNIAN have completed the signing of versatile winger Martin Boyle on a two-year deal, the club has confirmed.

Boyle, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the Easter Road club, scored three goals in 17 matches as he helped Hibs to second in the Championship.

However, an injury sustained in the final league match of the season ruled him out of the play-offs. (BBC)

Kinda half expected this to be the case, seen we offered him a new deal a few week back and it wasn't signed so it was just a matter of time really.

I just wonder if they payed anything in development money for him?..

If this isn't a deal to help bring another Hibs player this way then you’re hoping Hartley has made them stump up the full whack whatever it is?...

I still recon there will be someone coming this way as part of the deal.

I see from reading the forum it could be Stanton so probably is the case.

Tully has us looking for cash for Boyle this morning. Ferry and KT also mentioned (in terms of stepping it up next season)

Not sure if this means we don't intend to take a "swap" replacement from Hibs or if it's just speculative journalism tbh..

The quotes from PH regards Ferry have been around for a while.

Scott Robertson signing would be nice.....not surprised at all that Boyle has opted for Hibs. He would be restricted to subbie appearances at Dens in the SPFL and at the end of the day I think the Championship is probably the top level for him. I lliked his energy, but too often his final ball or finish was poor. Wish him good luck. Seemed like an honest lad.

Scott Judas Robertson is not for me. He would totally divide our support. This place would go into meltdown.
