Playing 5-3-2 with no width in midfield, inviting Celtic on to you. Surely a 4-2 -3-1 allows one to match them more in midfield and offer more in attack . This is more the norm for other managers Tony. Ask Killie etc

I can't help but agree.  We were out numbered in midfield most of the time, partly due to numbers but also due to the inability of some players to follow the run of their man, and yet we had our three central defenders marking one player (and often unable to watch his runs either).  This 5-3-2 is obviously the way TD wants to play and it will be fine with the teams at our level but I couldn't help but think that Tiffoney playing wide might have been more of a threat.

Difficult to criticise, given the start we've made to the season, but I can't believe we've went in at half-time - "happy with the first-half" - Tony Docherty, since the second-half was exactly the same except we conceded three goals and it should've been more.

It was one-way traffic ALL game.

We haven't beaten Celtic at home in 35 years!

*cue the Hovis them-tune*

I've seen us pump them at Dens 5-1;  3-2;  2-1;  2-0;  4-1;  1-0  and every time they've had better players than us.

No problem with the back 5 but we needed to go with a couple of wide players and Bakayoko up top on his own. Would have made us more of a threat on the break. Bit pointless having Rudden and Bakayoko up top when you’ve only got 20% possession. Would mean either dropping Cameron/McCowan or playing one of them wide and brining in Tiffoney. Wouldn’t mind seeing Sylla in these games too just for a bit more physicality. These games always go the same way though. Got to try and be clever with the press. Never going to keep that up for 90 minutes. They want us to press to open us up and pass around us. The gap now is just so big it’s unreal. Both the old firm spending £60m+ on wages compared to our £3m? Need to hope they have an off day and they didn’t. Simple as that. Regardless of formation they’ll still have 75%+ possession and 25+ shots. Have to say though until the mistake we actually defended the box quite well. Most shots were from areas around the edges of the box or from corners. Kyogo had his one on one from the only time we got caught high up the pitch. First goal is always crucial and we gifted it. Same as against Rangers at Dens.
