Dundee 1-14 Old Firm (-13)

Our overall goal difference is -6 so we would be sitting on +7 without games against them.

Shows that we're having a good season bar the games against those two. We simply don't have a clue how to play against them this season and it's just been damage limitation.

They haven't dropped many points between them this season in our defence, but giving them a close game and taking the odd point off them should be our aim to get to the next level, or if it isn't, what is the point in these games?

I'm the same as many that believe we need to show more belief in these games but I guess we need to remember where we are at, newly promoted team with a new manager and basically a new squad.

Maybe next season we can start to show up more against the ugly sisters and have a bit of a go.

This season is all about taking points off the teams around us and staying up, which I think we are doing perfectly at the moment!

We have been terrible against the old firm this year!

But am I right in thinking we have taken points off every team we have played in league this season?

Apart from Aberdeen as we have not played them yet, which is mental!

Most games against the Old Firm go the same way, even in games they’ve dropped points they look almost identical to our games against them this season other than the second half at Ibrox where they were a man down. Rangers and Celtic probably outspend us on wages by about 20 to 1. I know Killie spend roughly what we spend but there’s no doubt that pitch is much more of a leveller. Celtic and Rangers both pass it around and move you about, but they can’t do that as easily on Killie’s pitch as they can on ours. They only lose a handful of games per season, and recently have barely lost outside of games against each other. Unless you catch them on an off day and get huge slices of luck you generally have no chance.
