It’s not really a shock , but who really knows who’s to blame for the farce that is the dens park pitch , money or ground mans who knows the real answer

Heard this the other day from another poster on here in private, strange one. You have to believe that since they have been suspended then it cant be to do with the pitch!

Almost impossible to comment on this without knowing what they were suspended for.

If it was an internal matter, then that's between them and the club.

If it was for the pitch and the postponements, that opens up a large discussion/debate.

Surely after 40 years of mostly praise for the pitch they are not getting the blame for its current state?

This isn't a new issue (I believe). Was mentioned privately about 6 weeks ago that there was something going on. No idea what but it was flagged up in private late last year.

*Edit to add- after checking it was actually as far back as September so probably before this season's pitch issues.

I am led to believe it is a bit of both.

I can't see it being purely about the pitch - there's only so much they can do and they've had huge amounts of praise over the 40 year or so the family have looked after the pitch. I'd be very disappointed if it's just that.

The Record saying the club are launching an internal investigation sounds like there's more to it. It'd be massively disrespectful to speculate further than that so we'll just need to wait and see.  Whatever it is, I just hope the club isn't shafting them after so many years of service.

Whatever the reason, I doubt it will be any near as bad as what the head groundsman at the dump over the road did back in 2011.
