They only played 11 match days in his time there this season, he was out the last 3 of them (where it looks like he left the country for Christmas and didn't return).

The Indian league has a super light schedule, our size of league and only 2 rounds of fixtures and a max of 3 play off games. (No cup football for Main as that has just started in Jan).

Until recently, it was just a 6 month sport there and even now, they don't contemplate competing with cricket!

Am behind TD but doesn't that ring alarm bells? If he wasn't good enough in the Indian League is he good enough for the SPL, unless injured of course.

Is he good enough for the Scottish Premiership?

He was fantastic last season - in the Scottish Premiership.

He had already proven that he was good enough for the premiership up until the end of last season before chasing the money out in India.

Just because he came back to Scotland doesn't mean he wasn't good enough.

I was following Main at the end of last season, secretly hoping he would sign for us but realistically knowing he wouldn't. Other than the money, India never looked like a good move for him. Poor league was my first thought and secondly was the heat. His game is all about movement and constant pressing which in they conditions, make it really hard for him to play his natural game. Without seeing him over in India, I'd imagine he has built up enough of a reputation in Scotland to get this move.

He was one of the best players in the premiership last season and headed to India to get the big bucks ,obviously being away from home and holed up in a hotel 7 days a week impacts your performance.
