Pretty much nobody cares about ice hockey, hence its not newsworthy.

They get 1500 fans at a game, it's not comparable to us. We have to plan for full capacities, thats what DCC and decision makers will be looking at. There's bad parking at loads of things, the difference is, we are big news in the city, as are Utd, so a spotlight is placed upon us.

The parking at dens and the dump is worse as it’s now full of houses the folk that stay there cannot wait for us to move

No. As far as I am aware DCT didn’t pay for providing match reporting. Reporting done by the Elite League and the Stars themselves. Maybe DCT don't employ a journalist with sufficient knowledge of the game. Although when it comes to football 🤔

Seems to be a pile on when it comes to the local papers, which is fair enough I guess. But get the facts right at least. There’s coverage of Dundee Stars in today’s Courier and Tele print versions. Don’t know about online. Stars games are covered every week.

As far as football goes the guys at DCT's, with the exception of QOTS fan Cran, have an extensive knowledge of 1983 and that's about it.

There's not really any parking around Dens and Tannadice now unless you have a permit. The distance to and from the ground currently will be similar to Campy if you park in say Dryburgh or Ardler. The streets around the current grounds have been a no-go for at least a couple of seasons.

I find the drivers at the ice hockey very friendly in ĺetting parked cars come into the flow of traffic, especially at the t junction beyond the hotel, however the big problem is for cars parked on the side near to the Kingsway, especially if the have parked bonnet first and have to reverse out. A bit of common sense helps.

When we go to the Ice Hockey I park in Dunsinane Industrial Estate then walk over - easy!!

I don't buy the Courier or Tele but read online and there is no ice hockey coverage (certainly not match reports). It was commented on previously online by ice hockey fans about the lack of coverage and an explanation was given about a lack of payment by DCT. I assumed that was a fact.

You get excellent Stars coverage on You Tube i.e.extensive game highlights and post match interviews also Twitter, for those interested.

Re the Area very busy for hour before and after then all calms down just like it would if we move there

I’m on about now and years gone by folk that stay there can’t wait for the new stadium as they’ll less old firm fans drinking around their houses and making a mess I couldn’t give a flying f about the dabs when we leave

Yes exactly, we have proposed traffic management plans whereas hockey has nothing. So 2500-ish hockey fans cause a mess right now because it’s uncontrolled but a DFC match will be stewarded and cars will not be permitted to do what they currently do at hockey.
So actually 10,000 football fans will cause less chaos than 2500 hockey fans.

Don’t see , hear or read any problems with traffic causing a mess on hockey nights.

Busy yes, but traffic flows.

As previously stated, we have a traffic management plan for the new stadium so can’t understand the gripe about traffic on hockey night.
