Don’t see , hear or read any problems with traffic causing a mess on hockey nights.

Busy yes, but traffic flows.

As previously stated, we have a traffic management plan for the new stadium so can’t understand the gripe about traffic on hockey night.

My point was that the impact on the leisure park car park was cited as a reason for refusing the stadium. But based on Sunday night, that car park is burst when there is a hockey game on. Completely full and spills over onto pavements and into Camperdown park. That won’t happen with Campy because stewards will stop it. So actually a home DFC match will have less site impact than a home Stars match. So councillors shouldn’t be using the impact as a reason to refuse.
Not having a pop at the hockey, it’s just an example that DCC need to take into account.

I’m on about now and years gone by folk that stay there can’t wait for the new stadium as they’ll less old firm fans drinking around their houses and making a mess I couldn’t give a flying f about the dabs when we leave

I replied to the post below which specifically mentions parking, Dens & Tannadice.

"The parking at dens and the dump is worse as it’s now full of houses the folk that stay there cannot wait for us to move".

Not on the April committee agenda. Might be May.

Disappointing, I want to say something's afoot, the DAB councillor's are working against us or the owners are stringing us a line but like everyone else I don't know. The uncertainty will inevitably lead to more rumours and hearsay though.

Frustrating.☹️

We should be going to the Scottish government with this that dab bar stewards at it

Kinda touching on what I was referring to in my above post, for me the development is at a delicate stage, maybe even critical, and we can't go wading in with size 12's and potentially ruin any relationships we currently have. We don't know (outside of the club) what the hold up is. I think we ask for timescales to give ourselves something to hold them to. Going beyond the timescales we can ask questions. IF our PPIP application is then heard and rejected we can appeal to the government or other bodies but not before imo.

We want it to happen but we might need to be a bit more patient which is extremely frustrating.

It’s ridiculous that is dragging on for so long. Everyone can see the benefits, not only to the club, but also to the city that this development will bring. Just pass the damn thing FFS.

April Planning meeting cancelled due to 'lack of business'.Could be May,but not certain then they have holiday break for 2 months and resume meetings in August.

This is a misuse of power on a grand scale adversely affecting one of the biggest proposals for years. It is a sign of recession that there are few if any other Planning applications so DCC should be facilitating this as a priority just as they did with the Eden project which was waved through in double quick time and with little or no regard to traffic/parking issues.

Thanks Ludo...Although I'm not really into Ice Hockey, any positive news/sports, that relate to Dundee/Scotland, I try to keep in touch with. That said, I'm unlikely to get upset, if I miss any news (good or bad) "oor neighbours" are involved in:chaplin:
