When you approach from Perth in outside lane, you suddenly find that you have to turn right, what a stupid design. Whoever approved that is a halfwit. right hand lane is for turning right or continueing straight in a main dual carriageway system. I'm moving to Milton Keynes......🤬

Absolutely spot on. Very few people actually turn left towards Liff, so the left hand and the centre lane go straight ahead and the right hand lane must turn towards Dundee.

Very similar to the way you get onto the Myrekirk roundabout from the Asda store. You must turn left up the Kingsway, and you cannot go straight ahead if you are in that lane.

Needs much better signage at Bullionfield. .

Springfield Homes who made the changes at the Swallow roundabout were in the Tele yesterday saying they understand all the complaints etc about the new set up but this was never intended to speed up traffic and delay's were inevitable.

How can projects be approved when its known to have a negative impact on 1 of the main routes in and out of the city every day.

Where as our project that will cause some congestion on a weekend once every fortnight is being delayed. Fecking crazy!!

Does this mean Springfield were able to dictate what the new road layout would be? Did they pay 100% of the cost? Can DBPH therefore dictate what the road layout will be at Campy Nou? Can we direct all the OF buses into the Tay? So many unanswered questions. Unless Paulitto has the answers from last night!

Okay here goes, Last night was interesting and JN was very open and supported by our Communication lead Daryll Broadfoot (ex SFA)

The access point is the ONLY thing holding it up going to council. Recent press stuff was instigated by the club to get a reaction from TS.

They have all been around the table discussing prior, but club frustrated with lack of movement from TS which led to call out. It got the reaction the club wanted.

It all boils down to that one access point off the Kingsway, TS want it moved down the road a little and want and study done on it before they say Aye to it, however the club don’t want to spend the amount it costs getting that done which is costly for them to say No. So this call out is to get them to say aye or no so they can then get the study done, which once agree will see it go in front of council which he hopes is no later than July/August and if that happens, then planning can go in for Stadium to hopefully get this started by Jan/Feb 26.

No issues with anything else about complex. Talked about away buses being parked in Liff Road, police Scotland advising they are happy with traffic and will continue to do Escorts out. Talked also about car park and this will be basically used by sponsors, staff, players and hospitality so by the time this is due to clear all the supporters traffic from other points should be cleared so no major hold ups getting back on to the Kingsway. He did say the slip road will be like the one at Tesco’s.

The Coupar Angus roundabout will be upgraded along with the roads and pedestrian crossing.

Council was asked about to which there was no issue and did say they have to be careful who says what at the council especially with constituency MPs as if they get involved, then basically they would have to abstain from any vote.

Scottish Government (John Swinney) has told the club that if needed he will put a task force together to help support them if there is further problems.

A certain councillor was mentioned due to way he challenged at the Training ground planning meeting to which club always knew as he was very clear from the start that although they want the best for the city, they want to ensure it meets all criteria’s set out. When it was called out he was just letting a certain colour mask his mind, it was agreed he would be a very silly man to let that rule his vote.

Training ground was challenged on 4 aspects and can’t say what the outcome of this is, however let’s just say we should see a spade in the ground soon.

JN was talking about training ground and said the area at Campy was another bit offered for the training complex by council and they said put it there. It should have been first thing built until the objections came and that’s why the next site was identified by them which they now are paying to lease. This was also the case with stadium land.

Talked about the 1.5 Million a year Saints bring in from Funeral teas and this is with them not owning the Crematorium which we will and bring in revenue. The 1.5 million a year equates to 6k Season Ticket holders.

They have looked at models for other clubs down south including Tottenhams new stadium which is equipped for all the extras to bring in revenue to the club and reckons when we get this built, with it being the first of its kind in Scotland it will be looked on with envy and might see others trying the same. 150 Million it will bring into the local economy also.

Someone asked about the Kids STs and JN said there is a few things the price as it is, a couple of them being people taken the piss with it and also the amount of seats that weren’t used throughout the seasons we did it which meant they couldn’t sell these tickets and all ticket matches thus less revenue.

Finally he did ask that once the stadium is due to go in front of the council, he has asked for all fans including clubs etc to get on socials etc and really feed the positivity around it to ensure we are heard.

If I remember anything else or anyone can fill in the blanks, feel free.

Thanks for the update, I appreciate you're the messenger so will leave it there.

Forgot to add he mentioned Triangulating the city for the club with new stadium, training ground and will still be at Gardyne as they have plans that haven’t been released yet which will move things to having 3 key areas of the city

It’s a shambles. I’m now regularly faced with a 20 minute queue coming from west. When you get to roundabout folk are jumping lane, Meanwhile the other three entry points have single cars waiting for the lights. Obvious improvement was to add direct slip from Riverside to Perth ….  While I wait in the queue i get grumpy about the alledged transport problem Nou Campy will cause once a fortnight

Ah that’s interesting. The wisdom on here was that Gardyne was coming to an end for one reason or another. Wonder what will be out there. Maybe keep the gym and physio etc or is that part of riverside?

Sorry remembering a bit more 🤣

He was also very clear that all this fuss is being made over the Ugly sisters visiting the site due to volume of fans they bring and logistics. However did say it’s even worse at Dens which they feel they are being edged out of every year due to changes in parking, costs for upkeep of stadium (£750k pa). Reckons new stadium running costs would be the same as the upkeep of Dens but with a much bigger and better looking place.

When he was challenged around the traffic caused by the sisters getting out of the Kingsway, someone at TS called out that the police wouldn’t support escorts out, to which the response was they already have and confirmed they would continue to do Escorts which they have done for last 20 odd years 🤣

Also mentioned when we get into new stadium, will allow them to get creative with STs and ticket pricing.
