There may be valid reasons for how this system works, but it also creates major risks of discouraging valuable investment into the city something that is vital at all times. The process comes across as unnecessarily bureaucratic and amateurish, and, to be honest, it gives the impression of being at best petty and at worst potentially corrupt.

Ford was the city's biggest c*ck up. Lost hundreds of potential jobs

From memory wasn't it a combination of trade union demands re representation and Ford getting a better government offering from another country?

As far as I recall Ford had agreed that a single union, the AEU, would be the site union. The other unions then objected and got involved.
Ford then pulled out and this caused an emergency in British trade unionism. The AEU had argued get the jobs first then negotiate conditions later, in the end Dundee lost the jobs

My sister and Mum are currently stuck in traffic trying to get to Birkie as there is a Music Festival on at Campy. Hope Transport Scotland have sent someone along to observe a 15,000 crowd then maybe see our average is  around 7000. Work with it.

That would be too easy simple and they couldn't stall Dundees plans .

Bitter Arabs hope the taxman and the law courts find them guilty and destroys them.

I'm often asked why I always refused to join a union and why I detest trades unions so much. Well, they cost people jobs.

More corrupt than Dundee City Council.
