Dens will likely be used for housing so I can't see any issues there, not from TS anyway.

TS are only involved in trunk roads so not interested in the normal city roads and therefore no interest in the streets around Dens.  🤔

I would agree with some of this but I think it misses the detail that this new ground has been years and years in the making. The delays that Transport Scotland have caused don’t justify the years and years that have already went into this project. It’s not as if the club decided on this just a year or two ago.

Similarly, I’d say that the ground is in walking distance for several areas. You have Charleston, Ardler, St Mary’s, Downfield, Kirkton, and even Lochee, all within walking distance. Not as dependent on cars as people may think.

Which delay do you think Transport Scotlsnd caused?

You keep repeating that but its simply untrue!

Transport Scotland are not causing any issues now. Can't imagine they'd start doing it at dens

TS have no say in that area

DCT today.
Springfield Properties who were due to start work on Aug 25th to improve safety on the Swallow Roundabout,  have told their contractor that permission has not been received in time. A new date will be issued once permission has been received. They don’t say in the article who is responsible for the delay, although an audit confirmed that the current layout was unsafe. If it’s TS their concerns about safety on the Kingsway don’t seem have led to any sense of urgency.

So you don't know who it is but yet say they don't seem to have any sense of urgency. Strange

Well it was established by an audit that it was dangerous, work was to start on Monday then suddenly halted on Saturday. If anything is deemed dangerous to life then surely it should done right away. The DCT article did not mention who took the decision.

And yet you brought TS into it? In much the same way as previous false claims about TS

Do you work for them?

I think it's fair to offer TS a defence if they're doing little wrong. We (DFC or DBPH) want to build something but we've got to go through a process and meet the requirements of the relevant bodies. Are we meeting those requirements?. From the outside looking in it looks like the stumbling block is over the access to the development from the Kingsway on match day but the stadium only has 100 spaces in the plans to accommodate players and officials. It seems like overkill but would anyone kibosh a reported £150m worth of investment over a slip lane for up to 100 vehicles?. For me there's got to be more to this and that someone isn't being entirely truthful. I've got to question what TS would have to gain from being less than open and honest because it's really no skin off their nose if this thing is built or not.

The thing that really pisses me off is that other recent developments/road changes etc have all been a disgrace and more of a hassle/hindrance than doing good so why is this one that will only be used sparingly causing such a problem!!!
