Is that 7 games without a win so far?

Currently, getting beat 1-0 from N Ireland, and we don't even look like scoring so far. Is it a case of that we have done the job, and we don't need to give 100% in friendlies?

Some of our play tonight is terrible!

Watching Scotland reminds me of Dundee. Both are so bad at breaking down teams who put everyone behind the ball.

NI are quick to close down Scotland and not allowing them time on the ball.

Against The Netherlands, with the Dutch attacking, Scotland had the space to create plus we were good at quickly closing them down, at least for the first hour.

Last night with the Irish defending in depth with a back line of 5 with 4 stetched out in front of them we didn't have the creativity to break them down. That plus a number of players who didn't turn up on the night and Gilmore playing so deep he was largely ineffective.

Whilst Amsterdam was generally pleasing on the eye last night was enough to make eyes bleed.

Yeah it wasn't a pretty watch, need to move the ball a lot quicker against teams that sit in.

Booing from some fans a little over the top though, IMO

The game on Tuesday was absolutely terrible. Players just didn't look up for it.

Think there is being a lot made of this 7 games without a win on various other forums. However 4 of those 7 games were against teams ranked in the top 8 in the world. The other two outside Tuesday being a 2-2 draw in Georgia which for me isn't a bad result and a 3-3 with Norway, with them equalising late in the game in what was essentially a dead rubber.

We lost 2-0 away in Spain in a game we played well and were denied a perfectly good goal from McTominay which would have put us 1-0 up. The 4-0 against Netherlands was never a 4-0 game and the we played well for the first hour or so with the wheels coming off once all the subs were made.

The friendlies against England and France we were well beaten but those two sides are ranked top three in the world and have some phenomenal players. Jude Bellingham was an absolute Rolls Royce that night. Always feel in friendlies against teams like that we will struggle as there is no real pressure on the big side and they can't turn on the style and with our team we maybe don't have that edge with it being a friendly. We have come on massively under Clarke but realistically against these big nations we need them to have an off night and we need to everyone playing out of thier skin to get any sort of result.

This is absolutely not a dig at your post by the way just trying to put a bit of context about this run we are on. Hopefully we can get back on track against Gibraltar and Finland in June and fingers crossed Hickey and McGregor are back by then.
