Cobra Posted 4 July 2015 Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 Turns out jim wasn't offered a deal. Pretty shabby treatment. For a player to play more minutes than anyone else and not get offered another year is ridiculous. Unfair on Jim and it will return to haunt us at some point. an-dee Posted 4 July 2015 Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 Turns out jim wasn't offered a deal. Pretty shabby treatment. Where did you see this mate? Agreed that's poor treatment of a player who has given a lot to our club over the last three years.
Boba Fett Posted 4 July 2015 Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 Turns out jim wasn't offered a deal. Pretty shabby treatment. Where you hearing this bud? It was reported that we had improved a one year deal to a two year deal at one stage!
Reverend Lovejoy Posted 4 July 2015 Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 The following quote from last nights Tele seems to suggest both McAlister & McGinn were offered something- Two players who some were hoping would be back for pre-season were Jim McAlister and Stephen McGinn. Paul clarified the situation. He said: “They are not back. I just have to try to concentrate on the players I have back here. “I have no idea what is going to happen in that situation. “It’s not in my hands right now.†
Wattie Rojas Posted 4 July 2015 Author Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 Horse's mouth lads. They told him there would be a 2 year offer at the end of the season but he's heard nothing since.
dblair Posted 4 July 2015 Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 Very very poor by the club if true scotty. For someone who has been a very good servant for us at least have a bit of honesty!
Cobra Posted 4 July 2015 Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 Told he'd be offered a new deal. Left to wait all summer. Hears nothing and so has to assume he shouldn't attend training and is now out of a job. Unbelievable.

And I don't mean any of the DCT rags or the Daily Ranger.
Cobra Posted 4 July 2015 Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 Unbelievable if true Cobra. I'll reserve judgement until I see something in black and white. And I don't mean any of the DCT rags or the Daily Ranger. It's fair to say we don't know the full story Attilio. I think Wattie is a reliable source though. I'm sure we'll hear more in the next week. Ludo*1 Posted 4 July 2015 Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 Wouldn't be the first time a player has came out and said that and it proved to be untrue, Declan Gallagher case in point.
Dundeefc1783 Posted 4 July 2015 Report Share Posted 4 July 2015 Why would the club come out and say he had been offered a deal when he hadn't? What have they possibly got to gain from that. PH's dealings so far wouldn't suggest he would p*ss around like that.
