Hearts and Naismith

Recommended Posts

Looks like Hearts could be looking for a new manager very soon, I don't think Naismith will survive this much longer. Motherwell just beat them today 3-1, and they are currently 3rd bottom of the league.

If they sack Naismith, I wonder if they will turn their head to TD as a replacement?

Aye me and my old man were thinking the same when we seen the score today.. hopefully doc stays with us but if hearts do punt Naismith I can see them trying to steal doc.

Reckon it's too late for that and Naiclue will be away tomorrow.

I have to agree with you, I think he will be gone by tomorrow. I think he has been on borrowed time for a good while, especially with the fans.

The second half surge last season saved him after their fans were calling for his head.

Just reading their forum, fans are not happy with him (as expected) but I did not realize that the management team were handed contracts extensions.

So, maybe getting rid of him might cost them a lot of money.

Kilmarnock's McInnes was mentioned a few times as a possible replacement.

If it was me making the decision I wouldn't want him taking the team in the European tie this week. Already a goal down and struggling for form, if they lose it's just delaying the inevitable but if they should win the decision becomes that bit harder. Heavy league defeats to Dundee and Motherwell and put out the League Cup by Falkirk would be enough for most clubs with ambitions of finishing third and possibly competing for silverware to pull the trigger.

Their fans are baying for his blood, I reckon they'll get it.

A couple of them saying they should get the Doc as their boss.. one saying TD would jump at the chance of being their manager. Considering TD said he turned down other management opportunities before coming to Dens, I wonder if it would be that easy for them to lure him to Tyncastle. I suppose, bigger budget, better facilities and a decent wage could sway him. On the other hand, he's fairly safe at Dens.. and in year two of building a side. It would just be our luck to have the first really decent manager in ages and he gets poached just as we're getting used to not watching mediocrity and failure ..

McInnes will still hold more stock that Docherty, they should go for McInnes.

I agree, but I imagine the jumbo fans would be less than thrilled at getting a manager of the bottom club who's not won a league game this season. Yes, I know, only three league games.. but us fans are fickle.

Our transfer dealings this week might have an influence on TD's mood moving forward. IF we sell McCowan, which is more than possible, and TD doesn't get the funds he's looking for it may open a wee crack that potential suitors could pick away at. I think this could potentially be a really big week for us. It's gonna happen at some stage but hopefully not this stage.
