I am of the opinion that if the Tank can get a goal, he will score lots more.

The only of thing holding him back is his lack of confidence, maybe he has found it harder than Konrad to settle here.

Hopefully he will break his duck the next time he gets his chance in the first team.

Hello and Welcome to the Dark Blues Spiritof62 ....... (I might be new on the forum, but I remember that season well enough ......    Happy days)

Whether it is a mental thing (confidence) or a physical thing (injury/fitness) PH is the man to get him playing at his best .....and then we will see if his best is good enough for our club.I am inclined to agree with yourself, it might all be about confidence.

Once he gets that first goal and feels the supporters and fand behind him again, then the goals will start coming

My thoughts exactly mate. Didn't really get a chance to do much yesterday but until he scores, his confidence is going to continue to decline. Perhaps loaning him to the lower leagues may be the best solution IMO. Once one goes in, they will all start flowing

Hopefully he plays in some reserve or U20 games so he can bag a few and get the confidence up.

I also agree. A loan period at someplace like forfar or dunfermline where he should hopefully bang in a good few goals over a couple of months would probably get him in the scoring mindset.

Can we really afford to let our forwards go out on load at the moment. Is Peaso still not injured?

I don't think there is going to be a place for him in the starting lineup for quite some time now so I would let him go until at least the end of the season. Can always pull him back if we need to. With Clarky getting his customary goal per game  and building a fantastic bond with Stewart up front, I think we have enough cover for now. Would also give Martin and wee Craig chance to show what they can do. The Tank's confidence will also drop if he keeps sitting on the bench for 60 minutes a game. Mines would.

I've always thought of Boyle more as a winger than a striker... he seems to play that role more now. Craig is more than an attacking midfield player as well. We also have Roberts not getting game time either, but I see him more in the vein of Boyle as in winger. So that just leaves Peaso.  We need another Striker

I see Boyle and Roberts as wingers who can cover up top and Wighton as a number 10 but if we are going to sign 1 player in Jan, I'd prefer it to be a LB (preferably one that can cover anywhere along the left side) thats our weakest area I think.

Like most guys i thought he was a really good signing and would do well in the SPL. When you think about it he played well in all the pre- season games which are played at a slower pace and you get more time on the ball. Think the tank has been taken aback with the pace of the SPL?? The question is can he get himself up to the pace of the games.??

He seems to have the ability and strength? but yeah he has lost confidence and unfortuantely it will not get any better unless he gets game time which is unlikely. Vicious circle kinda thing. Maybe if he gets 20 mins at the end of a game and sneaks a couple a goals might be enough, but i still worry he can't hack the pace of our game??  Days are numbered at Dens I'm afraid... hope i'm wrong!!
