Because I'm annoyed at the interview in general, I'm probably reading way too much into things but this part almost sounds like he's deflecting the blame for the recent results onto his teammates as well rather than accepting his own part of the responsibility:

'But I think we brought in some good players. Hopefully once they find their feet in the team and understand the league they'll do well. We've brought in a lot of boys who haven't really played in this league. You do need the experience of playing in the Premiership.

I've played here a couple of years now. I know I'm only 21, but I'm one of the more experienced guys in the team. I think once everyone finds their feet and we start understanding each other I think we'll be okay.'

I don't know if its lack of respect or a lack of awareness or a combination of both but i agree someone needs to have a word with Lyall as the way he is coming across and the way he is wording things is certainly not good and is displaying both of these things .

Personally i think it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world if he were to get a move in January .

My opinion of him as a player is that he is a good young player, who is nice and tidy and who will pop up with the odd goal  but that is about it .

I think when he has time and space and when we are on top in games he looks the part and while he is undoubtedly comfortable on the ball most of the time  he certainly doesn't grab games by the scruff of the neck or dominate marches and if I'm being honest not only can he have a tendency to be non exist for large parts of most games but i think he has been bang average this season .

I think he may well be out the door come January but in the meantime perhaps he needs to be removed from media duties unless the club are perhaps trying to generate attention and hype around the lad in the hope that come January it inflates any potential fee we are hoping to get for him which is another thought I've had as to the reason he is being rolled out at every opportunity and being allowed to continually speak of his desire to move on.

His team mates could easily read it as you have.
He has a reputation for being an intelligent guy, maybe needs to work on his emotional intelligence a bit more before he undoes some of the excellent work he has done.

I read that in this way.......some of the new boys are finding the pace of the premiership tough but we'll see improvements in the team performance once they are up to speed and the team has had time to gel.

Lyall hasn't got that manager's art of answering a question without really answering it.
