Donny O Posted 7 July 2015 Report Share Posted 7 July 2015 Arghhh!!!! Light Blue!!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN!!! A modern version of this would have been the real deal IMO!!!!
Cobra Posted 7 July 2015 Report Share Posted 7 July 2015 Arghhh!!!! Light Blue!!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN!!! A modern version of this would have been the real deal IMO!!!! Exactly my thoughts. We could have had a classic 70s style red/blue diagonal stripe kit. Instead we've got one of the worst designs ever.
Ivan Drago Posted 7 July 2015 Report Share Posted 7 July 2015 The toothpaste kit is infinitely preferable to this monstrosity IMO.

TheDarkBlues Posted 7 July 2015 Report Share Posted 7 July 2015 Arghhh!!!! Light Blue!!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN!!! A modern version of this would have been the real deal IMO!!!! Historically, our kit colours comprise of 7 different colours and the light blue is there because of East End Boys. In fact, our very first kit was the white and light blue of our away kit last year with dark blue shorts and socks. We have even had black shorts in 1927 (away), 1928 (away) and 1945 (home) and we used light blue shorts in 2003 (Euro kit). The red in a Dundee strip was used once in 1902 and not again until 1952. The club only started using red frequently from 1970 until 1995 then it was used only now and again. The last two times red was used in a home strip was 2011 an 2012. The Red in our strip actually comes from the first Our Boys (Red and black) strip. While an annoyance to some, the light blue is a nod to one of the clubs that helped birth Dundee FC. Spiritof62 Posted 7 July 2015 Report Share Posted 7 July 2015 Diagonal stripes have no place on a football shirt. At a time when the city is full of creative types, why not give them at designing our strips?
deefly78 Posted 7 July 2015 Report Share Posted 7 July 2015 Its not great but im sure it will grow on many people. Its certainly different.
Ivan Drago Posted 7 July 2015 Report Share Posted 7 July 2015 Solid light blue sash and it would have been ok. The split sash and badge in the shirt makes it look like the winner of a kids competition

AnAnInginAneAnA Posted 7 July 2015 Report Share Posted 7 July 2015 I'm definitely in the minority, but the more I look at it the more I kinda like it.It has a certain steaky 90's style american soccer team charm to it.
