bridee Posted 19 July 2015 Report Share Posted 19 July 2015 Does he need legal representation? He's not accused of anything. All he is,is a witness.
blythswood Posted 19 July 2015 Report Share Posted 19 July 2015 united should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute for their statement. Outright lies. They'll do anything to ensure they get money for their players. Horrible bunch of f**kers.

Derry Drummer Posted 19 July 2015 Report Share Posted 19 July 2015 Its not about supporting him. It's about punishing Cifti. He is guilty. Regardless of which team he plays for.
chomp my root Posted 19 July 2015 Report Share Posted 19 July 2015 Its not about supporting him. It's about punishing Cifti. He is guilty. Regardless of which team he plays for. For me it is about supporting him too, the incident happened when he was employed by the club and during a match that Dundee were playing. If it happened in a Night club then fair enough, it would be in his private life but it happened at 'work' so I think we're obliged to support a former employee who did no wrong.
SM1893 Posted 19 July 2015 Report Share Posted 19 July 2015 If you were an employer and a member of your staff was assaulted whilst carrying out their duties and they were no longer in your employ would you still help them pursue the legal channels and assist them or not? For me DFC have the responsibility to treat all current and ex employees to the best of their ability to support them in all aspects of their career, just like any other employer should. Just because it is football and these guys are on fixed term contracts doesn't mean that they shouldn't have assistance from their employer, whether current or ex. DFC should do the right thing and assist JMac as much as they can and see this biting 'disease' out of the game IMO. NC is part of the Tangy mob, but that shouldn't change anything about how the club approaches this issue. For me it doesn't matter who it was against, whether it be Lochee Utd, Celtic or Deveronvale the club should support all employees and do their utmost to protect the guys who pull on the Dark Blue.
Cobra Posted 19 July 2015 Report Share Posted 19 July 2015 A Dundee player was bitten during a match. DUFC followed up the incident by insulting our club and the player by defending the actions of Ciftci. Then there's the unfounded accusations of racism. It's in our interests to see both this animal and DUFC punished to deter it happening again.
sneddee Posted 19 July 2015 Report Share Posted 19 July 2015 Its not about supporting him. It's about punishing Cifti. He is guilty. Regardless of which team he plays for. it's very much about supporting him imo and it's also about punishing him in the proper manner.
CW 90+3 02/05/16 Posted 19 July 2015 Report Share Posted 19 July 2015 The circumstances couldn't have worked out any better for Ciftci and DUFC. Done it on the last game of the season - easily forgot about and swept under the carpet as everyone goes on their holidays United release cringeworthy statement attacking our players and club but now wont need to defend it if he's found guilty and charged as he isn't their player anymore. He has went from one of only 2 clubs in Scotland who would defend that sort of thing to the only other club in Scotland who also would. He has went to a club who get special treatment and kid gloves from the SFA, even more so that his previous club where he got off with absolutely everything. Jim Mac left us so we might not be that bothered about the outcome anymore as we would have been of he was still our player. If he had done the same thing mid season for any other club other than DUFC or Celtic who appeal and get off with most charges thrown at them, he would have had his 5 to 8 match ban within a week or two. bjs Posted 19 July 2015 Report Share Posted 19 July 2015 It happened when he was with our club and the investigation and complaints were made by him and the club so the club should be backing him every bit of the way so that justice wins and those guilty get the deserved punishment.

andy j Posted 20 July 2015 Report Share Posted 20 July 2015 (edited) I think the club should be supporting J Mac as he was Dundee fc player who was backed by the board at the time Edited 20 July 2015 by andy j
