Movie Soundtracks

You've got the easily famous ones. Godfather, Jaws, and lots of horrors (Exorcist, Freddy, Halloween etc) that are iconic tunes. What's an iconic film theme for you?

I'll pick a less conventional one to start it off with:

However, despite the words meaning nothing, I think it's one of the most emotional soundtracks out there and works perfectly with the film.

Carrie: (Brilliantly atmospheric soundtrack)
Battlestar Galactica: (New TV Series)
The Exorcist: (if only because it helped put Mike Oldfield on the map!)
Star Wars: A New Hope (the one that started off 'proper' soundtracks again!)
Suspiria: (Can't beat a bit of 'Goblin' :-)  )
Psycho: (Minimalist magic-Hard to beat this.)
Once Upon a Time in America - (Amazing movie, wonderful Morricone soundtrack)
Fame: (The original Alan Parker one-A hard hitting movie that led to a saccharine TV series.)
Escape From New York: (John Carpenter's best soundtrack - especially "Shoot a cop!")
Midnight Express: (Georgio Morodor at his finest. (And Randy Quad (and John Hurt!) singing Istanbul blues - sadly replaced on the soundtrack album!))
ALIEN: (One of THE greatest movies of all time, with one of the best soundtracks.)

Bladerunner: (The movie with the greatest number of "soundtracks" available... whilst not being available!)

(I would have loved to include Mike Oldfield's-"The Killing Fields" in here - the only soundtrack he has written- sadly, it's just not as good as the above)

Fantastic film, fantastic soundtrack

Kia ora

Still watch this movie every year, lots of great dialogue , this being my favourite

"It's a hundred and six miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses".
