We have a crucial run of very winnable fixtures coming up where we should be aiming to maximise a healthy points return..

We've come up way short against Celtic and Aberdeen. Other than those two teams, I honestly believe we are capable of beating any other team in this league. Now is the time Hartley needs to show he can see what the rest of us can:

. Simplify our formation

. Play our players in their best positions

. Move the ball quickly and get width into our attacks asap

. Coach the feckin life out of defenders and get them working as unit and stopping crosses in particular

. Get Loy and Hemmings up top with Stewart just behind

Getting the very best out of our squad and getting the right team on the park over the next six / seven weeks is of paramount importance to our season IMO.

PH has shown he's capable of bouncing back from set backs and getting his team to react. We need that on Saturday now.

For the stick I get re my criticism of ph I think 10 would be a decent total, less than 8 would be poor.

Its the tankings I cant stand.

Got to be getting more than 10 points from that run of games. Motherwell, Killie and Partick at home should all be 3 points. Ross County, Accies and Caley are all tricky but I would be disappointed if we only got 1 point in those games I'd be disappointed.

I think eight points is realistic. Six will keep us in the top half. Eight or ten would see us probably move up the table.

After the Parkhead disaster we need to get a response. Lose to County and confidence will be shattered.

Love that to happen but Dee rarely win 3 on the bounce in the top league at home.

Another way to look at this to add a bit of perspective..

Before a ball was kicked would you have taken us being clear in sixth place after eight games having already played all five of the teams that finished above us last season and a "reborn" Hearts?

We've only lost to the three "biggest" teams in the league. Yes, the manner of the Celtic defeat was outrageous but we've taken points of all of the other top six finishers from last season while the Dabs, St Johnstone and ICT have all dropped out of the top half as its stands.

Now is the time to get back to basics and put in some strong, winning performances against the likes of Ross County, Hamilton and Motherwell..

I'm with you bud.  You could vent your fury forever and try and figure out what went on in that game till the cows come home but in reality it isn't going to get us anywhere and it isn't going to change anything now.

I suppose we all think we have learnt a bit more about our manager, coaching team and players since Sunday and I would expect that the post mortem has taken place and fingers have been pointed.

Me and the young lad will be there on Saturday supporting the team.  There will be boos (isn't there always though) and some will mutter that 'Hartley isn't as good as these boys think he is' (as they always do).  I've come to the conclusion that this is one of the many things that makes us all Dees though.

After the performance against Celtic, I would think every decent DFC fan and supporter, would start to question what kind of manager and players do we have !!

I am certainly not ready yet to throw in the towel on PH and his players (especially as I have been one of his biggest fans) He will come good again.

But that gutless performance was really hard for all DFC supporters to take. They need to show against Ross Cointy some pride/effort.

Could I accept another defeat ? ..... Well experience says, I suppose I could ..... ( Ups and Doons o' DFC ).

But DFC show some fight/determination !!   Let's see you all get tore in !!   "C'mon the DEE"

On the positive side, we have only lost to a team above us, on the negative we have always lost to a team above us...so hopefully PH et al can change that next game.
