I've lost count of the amount of times a ref has gone over and said to a player, "one more and you'll be off".

It is part of a ref's role to talk to players, inform them of his decisions and reprimand them as and when he deems fit. That isn't only when a card is dished, but when he feels they should be warned of their conduct. Thomson fell into that bracket today.

If you're not simply being obtuse, then you're being rather naive. 

Good to see however, how much leeway you're prepared to give the ref, when you give some of our players very little.

Agree with this. Our captain had a disagreement with the manager. No big deal.

If that was a poor game by Thomson then what does it say for the performances of most players playing for us week in week out!! If he was classed as poor then his poor is still streets ahead of others. Yes he wasn't happy and yes he could have acted differently when taken off ( I think it was the correct decision) but I'd rather have winners like him in my team than others who are happy to accept things!!

I know. McAllister was dreadful - he didn't ever shout at a team mate or not be pleased with being subbied though, so we should consider bringing him back.

Thomson was decent today and only reason why he got subbed was due to him close to being sent off.

The pass to Julen was crap and luckily julen did well to clear it.

The shouts about Thomson being our best player are wrong I think and Greg Stewart is our star man and we would be f**ked without him.

You abuse me by calling me obtuse after coming out with the statement above. Wow. The best bit is that refs informs players of their decisions!!!!!!!! Maybe we should ask Blythswood who has been a pro whether all refs do what you say, or whether it's just the good ref's. And please stop the personal abuse because you know your wrong.

I agree with barkblue's post re the ref. Not all the ref's will deal with each situation the same I agree but we're not talking about all the ref's,only one and what he was very clearly doing with KT yesterday.

Nothing wrong in having those thoughts and that belief as long as you can back it up with the performances on the park. I think it's safe to say he does that and I would agree with him that he is the best (outfield) player we have. Others may disagree but I'd be surprised if he wasn't in most folks top three (for outfield players) at the very least.
