Dundee Strike Quartet A Real Force Says Paul Hartley

Dundee boss Paul Hartley is hoping his side can use Saturday’s performance as a springboard.

The manager is hoping his players can rekindle their early-season form after discovering their goalscoring touch again.

Paul was able to call on the front three of Greg Stewart, Kane Hemmings and Rory Loy for the first time since the opening weeks of the season.

The deadly front trio had not been available for selection, due mainly to Loy’s injury hangover from last season, since the last Dundee derby.

Reunited, it’s no surprise the Dark Blues looked a whole lot more potent in the final third against Ross County at the weekend.

While it wasn’t quite of opening-day-at-Kilmarnock vintage, or even that of

St Johnstone or Hearts, for 45 minutes anyway, Dundee were a force up top in the 3-3 Dens Park draw, according to the manager.

“Some of our play was good,†he said.

“We were a real attacking force.

“Rory Loy, Kane Hemmings and Greg Stewart were available — which we’ve not had really since the second game of the season.

“That made a big difference for us on the day. Hopefully, we can call on them week after week.â€

Add new boy Riccardo Calder into the mix and Paul is of the belief he has a Premiership front four to be reckoned with.

He added: “Young Riccardo on the left-hand side did really well.â€
