Paul Hartley Happy To Let Dundee Strike Trio Loose On Hamilton

Dundee boss Paul Hartley is delighted he’ll have his potent three-pronged attack on duty at Hamilton.

Greg Stewart, Rory Loy and Kane Hemmings have scored the majority of the Dark Blues goals this term.

Stewart was a doubt after being forced off after a hefty challenge in the win over Motherwell a fortnight ago.

But he’s proved his fitness this week and the trio will be hunting as a pack at New Douglas Park.

“Stewart is fine. He started training at the beginning of the week and there’s been no reaction,†said Paul.

“He’s been fortunate with the challenge because we expected the worst but we’ve had the physio working with him and he’s fine.

“It’s a good boost because he has been in excellent form and we’re getting all our goals from the three of them just now.

“Kano has not scored in the last few but his workrate has been really terrific.

“Greg will get his goals and he’ll create things also.

“Loy’s making a big contribution as well and, if we can keep them fit for the rest of the season, we’ll be healthy.â€

Dundee will still be minus James McPake, Paul McGowan and Nicky Low, the first two through injury and Low as he recovers from a virus.

But they head for Lanarkshire looking for a win.

“It’s a tough game for anybody going there,†said Hartley.

“They’ve done really well, have good players and work really well as a unit.

“But we’re in a good position and we’re feeling good about ourselves.Hopefully, we can get another good result.â€

Remember that game well.

If the midfield can shut down Ali Crawford, we'll win it today

Really like Crawford as a player. Always have. Would like to see him at Dens but highly unlikely with him being under contract at Accies until 2018.

One of those players who deserves a bigger stage than Accies but it's unlikely that any other Scottish club could stump up Hamiltons valuation of him (other than Celtic)

Sad fact is he'll probably end up playing for Leyton Orient :(
