Can see us getting a point. Inverness not exactly in great form either.

Id go 4-4-2 as well.

Bain

McGinn McPake Konrad Irvine

Low Gowser Thomson Calder

Stewart Loy

Wont be pretty but think that team would work their socks off to get a result.

I'd go 4-4-2.

McGinn..mcpake..konrad..Holt

Ross..McGowan...Thomson..Calder

I'd be OK with something like this but I think we'd maybe miss Hemmings (or Healey actually) work up top as we need a bit of mobility and presence to pressure the backline. I know neither player was particularly impressive yesterday but I think that was more to the system we were playing and I think we'd notice them gone.

Ross + Harkins definitely be our 2 central midfielders again. 2 from Thomson, McGowan or Low is absolutely essential to compete. If we get this right, it will improve us a great deal.

I'm having palpitations already thinking about the midfield 3 that finished yesterday facing the 6ft 3in giants of ICT. Between Ross, McGowan and Low, Ross is the tallest at 5ft 8in. Scary stuff. Even after more than 24 hours that team we put out was totally wrong. When does any team play with 4 forwards? Don't get me started on the decision to play Meggatt.

It doesn't matter who we're playing at full back, they are going to struggle when we expose them as much as we do.

Well, McGinn seems to be beginning to cope with it better. He had no cover yesterday and came out as one of our only decent performers.

However he doesn't spend quite so much of the game that far up the pitch.

Holt's biggest problem is that he is far too easily bamboozled by average players, constantly letting them past him and get the ball over.

There's a player in there, but he's going to have to concentrate on his defending before we see it. Otherwise, as folks have suggested, we need to let him play in midfield. However that leaves Irvine or Meggat at LB.

Now it's certain Caley like Killie will pressure us from the off.

There is no excuse for Hartley and the team not being prepared for a rough time, if we are not prepared to mix it for 90 minutes, then the points will stay in the highlands.
