Dire game. That pitch is treacherous when wet. Players continually slipping. Dundee had better of first half and had a couple of chances notably when Kyle Clark was put through by John Black. Keeper saved and also saved the follow up from Josh Skelly.

Sam Dryden had to go off at half time with concussion after a clash.

County by far the better team in the second half and Kyle Gourlay had to make a couple of decent saves. Don't think we troubled their keeper at all in the second half.

Just had a look at the league table. Disappointing situatin and it made me wonder if the lack of a "home" pitch was part of the problem.

Held to a draw by a team below us in the League and 14 points behind St Johnstone after 8 games. Maybe us loaning out players to other clubs will bring them more "first team" experience but probably not helping our Development Team performance and results. What will help Dundee FC's first team in the long run?

A good question, for myself I see the development side as being about getting individuals through the system to play in the first team so the development league position doesn't really matter although I guess it would to the guys playing in the team. I hear we do have a good crop of youths at the moment but they'll not all make it, not with us anyway so loaning out the 'likely' ones will hopefully bring them on as players. Just my 'gut view' on it, I'm far from an expert on the subject.

Without knowing too much  (well being honest .. nothing)  about the kids and youths associated with DFC....

Is this not an area where we expected our American Friends to invest and focus on ? Are they doing enough ?

Maybe someone associated with the Academy at Manhattan Works can come on and provide some info. Lack of communication from the club on the Academy progress has been poor in my opinion.

I did hear a while back that there had been a bit of a falling out with the Manhattan Works, something to do with not paying our bills to use it or suchlike. Just being a sweetie wifie, I don't know this for a 'fact'.
