We Wore St Johnstone's Kit!

Recommended Posts

I remember going to McDiarmid sometime in the 90's and due to some mix up or another we had to wear St Johnstone's away kit.

I'm having a discussion in work with a St Johnstone fan, and I'm sure it was a yellow kit we wore, while he thinks it was white!

Can anyone please help clear this up, a picture would be great, I'm thinking it was about 93/94??

We wore their yellow away kit with blue shorts - was the season we had aquamarine and white striped away kit - got beat 3-2 if I remember correctly

Cheers David, you wouldn't have any photo's of the game do you?

He's also adamant we won 0-1, I told him It's a brave man who argues DFC stat's with you, haha!

94/95 27 Aug we won 1-0 at McDiarmind Park. 93/94 season were no 1-0 games between us. We got beat 3-2 at McDiarmind Park on Tues 13 Feb 96 in the 95/96 season.

Cheers Bloomogg,

Yeah I've checked the results from around that time, and the 3-2 result in 95/96 doesn't work out with the strip David said we had at the time.

But the Dundee strip David refers to is from 94/95 season, which would say we did win 1-0.

I was sure it was a mid-week game also.

Anyone remember a home game around 1996/97 or 98 where our Firkin Brewery strips had obviously dyed in the wash so the white sleeves and white shorts were distinctive sky blue?

Maybe that's where they got the idea for last seasons abomination:-)

I do remember Steve Lovell wearing a number 5 shirt with a hastily added 2 on one side at Partick when they forgot his kit!
