What is the point in him remaining in Scotland? He's got 25x the budget of Ross County and 10x the budget of Aberdeen so the league is a formality. His record from the last ten Europa League games is W0 D4 L6.

If the requirement of the job is to win the league, they'd be as well appointing Kerno.

Would be astonished if Moyes was interested.

He was linked before if I remember correctly, but I agree I doubt he would be interested. The wage demand would be too high you'd think. Although there is a chance he may want to build his reputation whilst getting some more European experience I suppose.

“I’ve always thought that some day. I always think you have to be ready to manage Celtic, you have to be prepared and ready for it.

“It’s a worldwide club so you have to be prepared and ready when you go to Celtic.

“One day I would say definite but I’d always say there’s always a chance. Scotland is my home, Glasgow is my home and it always will be.â€

Moyes.

Don't think managing Celtic on a manager's CV is a big deal any more, unless they do well in Europe. Beating Scottish teams seems almost a given and it doesn't seem likely that the situation is going to change on the home front. What's the point if you come to Celtic and have nothing like the funds available to the top teams in England, France, Italy, Spain and Germany? The results against the teams in the European competitions are the yardstick that is used to measure your performance as a manager at Celtic and you know you won't have good enough players.

I think Moyes is at the wrong point of his career for Celtic, he's got too good a reputation in England, so 'established' enough for a decent wage with an English club with Euro aspirations. I can see him maybe going there one day but his Everton success will keep him in a big league for a while yet. Just how I see it of course, he might be feeling insecure after getting his jotters in Spain but I reckon (and I think he reckons) he's bigger than the Celtic job for now.
