Tele Poll Result: Dundee Fans Vote In Favour Of Game In Usa

Dundee fans have voted overwhelmingly in favour of their side playing an SPFL game in the United States, according to a poll run by the Tele.

Over two-thirds thought the Dark Blues should travel across the pond at 68%.

The ‘no’ voters sat at 28%, while those who were not sure on the venture sat at 4%.

Though at a very early stage, the club are understood to have been in contact with NFL side the Philadelphia Eagles with a view to using their 69,000-seater Lincoln Financial Field Stadium for the one-off game against Celtic.

The reaction to the idea has been mixed with Philadelphia sports writer Jonathan Tannenwald branding it ‘a colossal mistake’, while Dundee Supporters’ Society board member Alan McEwan thought the proposal was a ‘potentially tremendous initiative’.

366 people took part in the Tele poll which ran this week.
