The Lightweights Week 10

Recommended Posts

The lightweights  (Ross and Low) continue to play and we wonder why we cant win and are heading for a play-off spot.

Our last win was on the 3rd October.

Of our 4 wins Harkins started in 3 and came on after 27 minutes in the other-its not rocket science -he looks to go forward the lightweights look to go square or back.

If Hartley continues to play them - we know what is in store.

Flood ran rings round them -wins tackles -digs at the rifght time-he has been a good player these 2 are awful and will cost us our league position.

The two Nicks are total lightweights, everyone and his dog can see it and talked about it for MONTHS, but they are the first names, on the team sheet week in week out, {that's when low is fit}. Paul Hartley loves them, reason. he signed them.

One win in our last TEN games speaks volumes, but sadly, Dundee Fans are now, in their hundreds, after every, crap home performance, not

bothering to come back {I think only SIX home wins, in the past calendar year}, what was the number of the  home support, in that crowd today???.

no way is harkins the answer, granted on his day he could do a job but he hasn't done anything in the last 2 coming on as a sub and its more frustrating because if he was dedicated then he would be in the team, but unfortunately pre season he looks good but as soon as the season starts he puts weight on and at times looks terrible.

thomson is a waste of a wage also.

i would play with 2 up front at home in loy and hemmings and let stewart play behind them with freedom to move around and create,as a sort of attacking midfielder.

i dont know why irvine isn't getting a game as holt has been inconsistent from the start of the season and it hasnt helped that our 2 centre halfs have changed regularly because of injuries.

wee do need a tough tackling defensive midfielder who can kick arses and get the team organised.

but i think one of the biggest problems at home this season has been the total lack of atmosphere coming from the home fans, now i know that a team doing well creates a buzz and the fans get behind the team but i cant remember such a poor home crowd v Aberdeen and lack of atmosphere, this is down to i think the heavy handed approach at the south enclosure end and also the crazy ticket prices as well as the stupid no cash gate's.

it is really important that wee get a decent vocal home support in at games against teams in and around us so lets get this sorted out and fill the ground against hamilton and roar the team on to victory.

PH saw his tactics thrown back in his face today by a Dons side that tackled like furies and ran at our defence when they won possession.

PH stood for 55 minutes watching us being outmuscled in midfield, it's simply not good enough and for gods sake do something about this awful defence, it's a sad day when your full back can't even take a throw in.

Spot on. Holt is a liability. If I were an opposing manager I'd tell my team to throw everything down the right. Not up to the job, sorry.

Think Holt will come good but think we are asking him to do too much too soon. I'd have Gary Irvine's experience in at l/back, at least until we manage to arrest this slide and steady the ship. Would get Harkins back into midfield too and consider Tam Konrad for a midfield destruction job.

Can't believe the abuse Holt is getting. Boy is left exposed week upon week due to Hartleys tactics and Stewart not tracking back. Played well last week with some support from Low against St J's. Boy must be pussy seek watching 2 boys every week running at him.

As for Ross reminds me of Paul McHale just pish.

Today's tactics were diabolical, a supposed 3 up top yet letting Aberdeen play out from the back with no closing down or harrying. People saying Harkins isn't the answer, of course he is the answer we have no creativity in midfield. Get Low and Ross away to feck.

6 points a must from next 2 games, if not gtf Hartley sick of watching pish like today.

Cammy's no gonna be picked by PH unfortunately mate. Have heard he doesn't make things easy for the laddie who has been urged by people experienced in the game to forget about Dundee and seek pastures new.

Boy would walk into our team at the minute at either right back or right midfield.
