Would Today's Players Accept A Hard Tough Type Manager ?

I've intentionally NOT put this under the DFC Heading ..... because it is not aimed at a replacement for PH.

It is no more than a general question.

Managers (like players) will come in all sort of shapes and sizes, & although we might get some idea about

their temperament, through TV interviews etc.  few of us will know how they generally interact with players.

If any Club employed, a proven hard- talking-working-disciplinarian-type-manager, would in the first instance

the modern player, put up with it ? And would it be a way to go ?

As said this is NOT about PH (because he may be exactly as described above) ....It is  a general question.

My own view (not based on experience) is, although my own attitude to others is (I think) kinda gentle and

forgiving, were I a Fitba Manager, I believe I would/could be very hard & ruthless !! 

I accept though in today's world, most players would not accept a programme that included for instance......

"Cancel your plans for your day off !!  Tomorrow, I want you all in for additional training"
