Surely Konrad should be restored to the first choice 11?

It's kind of commonly agreed that McPake is struggling and although Julen has shown some decent signs, he's had several bad moments and it's been a massive step up from the fourth tier (although he played at a higher level before, he's been studying and part time and playing in a foreign country since then).

Konrad has had his bad moments but over a whole season, he was generally pretty consistent and handled most opponents well. We all know what he can do and it's better than what we have on the pitch so he's a definite starter for me right now.

I'm not laying all the blame at Julen and McPake or the back line but it is a tweak that would help matters I feel.

Definite yes from me. I don't rate McPake as a defender, so Konrad and Julen for me is our strongest pairing. Think Konrad can count himself unlucky he hasn't been first choice to be honest.

I don't rate Jules. Think he's a bigger bombscare than Konrad. Genuinely believe that all 3 on their day, Konrad is our best CH. It's his physical limitations ie, height that go against him as he tends to get bullied in the air at times.

It's a hard one to pick 2 out of the 3 we have but I'd have Konrad in it.

Mcpake is by far the biggest problem in our defence IMO. Too slow, too rash and quick to go to ground when tackling, gets caught out of position so much and can't recover due to his chronic lack of pace.

Konrad and Jules are the best pairing for the way PH wants to play football. Both play the ball on the floor.

McPake just punts it.

We started the season with a flawless defensive display at Killie with Konrad and Julen at the back. Hartley chose to break up that winning team and we've been a defensive shambles pretty much ever since.

I would go back to the unbeaten partnership of Konrad and Julen but it's not going to happen because McPake seems to be one of the undroppables.

All 3 of them with holt and McGinn as wing backs. Gives us 5 at the back when needed and the option of ball out to the wing when suitable.

As good as mcpake was last season he's been rotten this. The two foreign lads for me with mcginn and holt at fullback.
