An excellent striker who is still only 31. Would take him back in a heartbeat.

We've only got three forwards in the first team squad at the moment and all three start games. What do we do when we get an injury or want to make a tactical subbie up top? We can't do much which makes us predictable. Bringing Sutton back is no-brainer for me if we have the budget.

I'm definitely against Sutton coming back. He'd be a sizeable transfer - in wages at least - loan or not. And he doesn't fill a position we really need strengthened. He flopped at St Johnstone last year and he's flopping in the league below now - There is absolute no reason to bring him in.

Sutton scored goals last season for a struggling Motherwell team last season. He's scored one goal from five starts in his brief spell at St Johnstone. I don't think you can write him off because of that.

I disagree. We'll have Loy, Hemmings, Stewart and Wighton (Potentially) in January. We had Healey (Who would have cost the club peanuts) and if we can get Sutton in a similar type deal - then by all means, but it'd be stupid to think we could get him on that sort of deal when he's one of the bigger earners at one of our supposed rival clubs.

I also certainly think you can write him off - His ratio is irrelevant - he's a well known enough player to know exactly what he'll bring and whether he'd improve us up top or not is irrelevant as we're already pretty damn healthy up top in comparison to other position especially considering the glaring weaknesses in the team.

Loy, Stewart and Hemmings are regular starters. Surely we need to be starting games with a forward on the bench. I don't know if Sutton is the answer but we need someone brought in now that Healey's gone. I can't see Hartley bringing Wighton into the fold this season if he's struggling to make an impact at Raith.

I think you can read too much into a player being out of favour at another club. His style might not suit the team, he might not get on with the manager.

If Hartley made a move, I for one would be happy to see the dab slayer return.

Yes, if Stewart goes I'd take him back. His goalscoring record in this league is good (Although he aint played much for Saints this season)

Think Sutton would score goals if he got the service, but i think our strikers are being starved of service.

Don't the our forwards are the problem at the moment, give them the service and they will score goals. I watched the opening game against Killie the other night and I don't think that the result was a fluke with the way we played.

If we were to bring in Sutton, then I would think it would be for his experience on and off the park for the younger players, as sometimes it's better to have older heads on the park at times like this.

We need wingers to create chances for the strikers, we are far too easy to defend against. and we leave our full backs exposed, no protection for them at all.
