Today's Formation

Recommended Posts

Got to give Hartley credit for changing it today. I've give him a bit of stick the past few weeks, but credit where it's due.

4-5-1 / 4-2-3-1 whichever you prefer imo allows for better defensive cover in the wide areas whilst allowing Hemmings to play where's he's got the chance to get in behind.

I can only think of one instance today when a Hamilton wide man got in behind our full back and tbh that was a lovely pass to allow that to happen.

Mcpake to me looks so much better beside Konrad, I think their strengths compliment each far more than with Julen.

That team played for Hartley today and it shows the dressing room is still with him so I'll gladly eat a bit of humble pie.

I can see this formation working for us. Long may it continue!
