Allan Staying At Montrose Till End Of Season

Matty Allan is staying at Montrose till end of season.

By all accounts he's doing very well and had formed a good partnership at the back.

Hard to judge how they are doing at that level. He's playing along side Ryan Kenneth who was playing amateur last season.the standard in the third division is brutal. that doesn't mean he won't be good but I have heard he isn't up to much compared to what's needed to play at a decent level.

I think what matters is that Matty is playing competitive league football. If he can become a success at Montrose then he's ready for the next step up. Good to hear the Gable Endies are happy with him. No matter what level it's at, a teenager going into a new dressing room and becoming a first-team regular is a sign of a strong character.

who is right, Aaron or Dusan. Any more comment? It seems a shame to have a young Dee trying to learn his craft, using the opportunities open to him getting two different views. FWIW I thought he was keen and courageous the few times I have seen him play.

Can't answer that but it's worth mentioning that Fozzy had an unspectacular spell at Montrose aged 19 and he's now in the Scotland squad and a key player for Derby.

Nobody knows if guys like Wighton, Kerr and Allan will succeed at a high level. It's too soon to say.

You just can't tell these days, we have had a few players come through the ranks and were expected to go on to big things, but never reach the potential or hype that was expected of them.

I like matty a lot. He's quick, decent in the air and a good passer. He could maybe do with filling out a bit but the basics are there.

I haven't seen him play much, but I will say this is more down to PH giving him a chance and the way things have been recently with the youngsters and letting them go, I won't hold my breath waiting on him pulling on a jersey for the full team.
