Dundee Boss Paul Hartley Wary Of Staggies Threat

Recommended Posts

Dundee boss Paul Hartley rates a trip north to Ross County as one of the most testing away days in the Premiership.

But he believes a repeat of last week’s performance against Hamilton will give his side every chance of heading south with three points tonight.

Paul has heaped praise on the work done by management team Jim McIntyre and Billy Dodds since they took over last year.

“I think Jim and Doddsy have done a great job since they’ve gone there. When they arrived, County were struggling at the bottom end, so if we look now where they’ve taken them it shows that.

“We know we are in for a tough game. They are a solid unit and they have good players and they play a certain way. It is never easy up there because they are strong at home so we know we have to be ready for that.

“It was pleasing the way we played on Saturday and, hopefully, we can now go on a run.

“I thought it was a good performance. The two halves were different — the first was pleasing in terms of getting on the front foot and going and getting the goals, and the second was very good in terms of not conceding.

“I was even more pleased with the second because we were solid and looked a really good unit.

“I thought our organ-isation was good and, hopefully, we can take confidence from that and go on a good run of games, though the next ones are tough for us.â€

Skipper Kevin Thomson and full-back Gary Irvine will both have fitness checks.
