These guys may be available for a short term loan given they aren't playing much.

I don't rate konrad or mcpake but Saturday's performance by these two shocked me.

Fraser, McGhee and Forster - no.

Bartley usually plays - and I expect him to start tomorrow - in the 'bigger' games for Hibs. He's usually rotated with Fyvie. Can't see him being allowed to leave.

Don't know enough about the Celtic boy.

Think it depends who goes out Wattie. If Stewart goes for decent cash I'd like to see us offer cash for someone who's contracts running out at one of the teams around about us like Ross Draper, Abdul Osman or similar. Don't think Hartley will sign anybody like Draper or Osman even though it's what we're crying out for.

Draper or osman would be ideal mate but we also desperately need a commanding centre half.

If Stewart was to go then we'd also need a replacement for him.

I think it was your goodself Rev that hit the nail on the head in another thread. Hartley looks like he only wants to sign players who are good on the ball when we're needing a hammer thrower or 2 in or side. 

I'm certainly not one for binning Hartley. We can't keep sacking managers after 2 years in the job and going back to square one with a new manager with different ideas that are going to take another 18/24 months to take shape. A ball winner in the midfield and an aggressive centre half will see us safe. Add in a decent right midfielder and we'll have a half decent side.

I think the midfield is more important than the centre of defence right now. Teams are walking through the middle of our team with ease and it's no coincidence that our overworked defenders are making mistakes I don't think. We've gotta protect our defenders better and without Thomson we're just too weak and lightweight to stop the opposition waltzing through.

That didn't really come from me, it's something that people in the game I've spoken to have pointed out. PH wants to play total football in the cut-throat SPFL and we really are far too easy to out work and out muscle.

Ross was anonymous on Saturday and I think low or Calder are more suited to Def mid however konrad and mcpake are utter sh**e mate, championship defenders at best.

Disagree with you Wattie on Konrad, think he could be a class apart if he had a dominant CH that could lead him as a partner.

Gary Mckenzie hasn't played for Doncaster since they changed manager in October. Not sure if he is injured or out of favour? Could be worth a phone call if it's the latter. I would have him back in a minute.

I liked him when he was with us, very raw but he had the right attributes, he's developed since he left although I've not been keeping an eye on him recently.

Disagree with you Wattie on Konrad, think he could be a class apart if he had a dominant CH that could lead him as a partner.

At one point against County,Konrad was out jumped by gardyne as well as poor marking or positioning...sorry ludo but "class" is not a word I would use alongside Konrad.....my opinion only.
