I think I can say on behalf of everyone on the forum, that we wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully it isn't as bad as it looked on the pitch.

Does anyone have word on how he is and will this mean he could miss the rest of the season?

Really hope it's not as bad as it looks. The guy has written his name into derby history with massively important goals. Would hate to think that's the last we see of him.

I hope you're wrong (as you probably do yourself), we had all this with Gary Irvine the other week although I agree that this looked a LOT worse.

While I would hope to see James back like we did Irvine, I cannot see it myself. You could see from the second that he tried to get up that it was serious.

I would like to take the time to say it showed real sportsmanship from McGowan (Arab) and Gunning (I believe) that went straight to McPake to console him right after they realised it was a lot more serious.

Zero chance we are seeing him again this season the players reaction said it all and fair play to the United players immediately trying to help him.

Have suffered the same injury myself.

Full leg plaster and bed for 6 weeks, crutches for another 4 weeks then months of physio. Not good.

Aye, I think that was my first "oh f**k !" when opposition players realise that its that serious. My second thought was that McPake isn't the kind of guy to faff around lying on the deck. I hope its not as bad as it looked, I know he's not everyone's 'cup of tea' but I still like him for his passion and commitment, all the best to the guy.
