BBC gossip column says we're speaking to James Vincent & Danny Williams about signing for next season with ICT trying to persuade them to stay.

Not really noticed them tbh. I think Williams can play lb too and is quite quick. Vincent scored in the cup final iirc.

I think I come across as a bit critical of Williams recently on here but that was only in comparison to Lawless (who I'd prefer) but given what Inverness fans say about him and how he brings pace which is a style of play we don't really have, I'd be delighted with him in our squad.

Think Vincent is a very consistent player but just not sure about balance. Seems to be a workhorse who goes for 90 minutes and contributes to a lot of attacking moves that result in goals. Issue is though, I'm not convinced that he's actually the type of player we need right now though (he doesn't look one bit like he could play deep in midfield as he's not the biggest and is a very attacking player). If it were to happen, it would have to mean that McGowan and/or Harkins (which I think would probably be a bad decision) are on their way or otherwise, we're not fixing any of the problems of this season.

This is Vincent's third season at ICT. All three seasons have been ravaged by various injuries. He broke his leg not long after joining. At the moment he's on the sidelines with a knee injury. Not exactly a dream signing if we want a settled team.

If thats the case Cobra then he`s a shoe in for Dens next season , the other thing he`d offer the Dee is a 3 page thread on here everytime he`s injured

At 5ft 11, Vincent is a giant compared to our current midfielders.

Can't find the height for Williams but he's a winger so shouldn't matter so much.

Just because we'd sign a midfielder and a left winger is NO guarantee they would actually play in those positions...
