Noticed this season that Dundee Mad have an advertising board at Dens. They would have paid around 1k to 1.5k for this, thus contributing to club funds. Does this board contribute in any way financially to the club?

Yes, we sponsored 3 players this season through the contributions from our members and we plan on doing the same again next season.

If you feel like donating for next season:

Not being funny but we seem to be the only club in the league that has to resort to fans buying advertising space.

I could well be wrong but I don't think United need to do this.

Also a lot of empty space on the Main Stand, and along with blue tarpaulin hanging over out of date boards I would presume, doesn't project a professional image for our club.

Hopefully if/when we stay up, and are more or less an established Premiership club again, we can start to address these issues and kick on in the future.

Did the fans on mad buy it or the owner of the website?

I don't think the club are resorting to anything. A fan on Dee Mad just came up with a good idea to help support the club. I'm sure there are gaps at other grounds.

I don't think dens is financially a good advertising investment these days.

Internet is free near enough and it reaches tens of thousands more.

United seem to do not too bad.

Hopefully the Commercial manager we poached from United and the fact we are on the way to becoming an established Premiership team will mean we start to become more attractive for the local business community.

United have had no competition on that front from us for more or less a couple of decades.

Fair play to the club with the new sponsorship deal though, decent money by all accounts and if rumours are true, getting more money than United too!
