Hemmings

Dundee FC News Facebook page reporting that some Chinese club might be in for Hemmings. Figures quoted in the papers are somewhere between £2-3m. As much as I don't want to sell him, £2m for someone we got for nothing is an unbelievable deal. There's no way we could turn that down unfortunately. What's everyone's thoughts?

We've never sold a player for £2M to the best of my knowledge. That could do wonders for the club next season!

If it's a genuine offer, we need to accept it.2million is too much to turn down for a player we signed for nothing. I'm confident Stewart and loy would step up to the plate aswell, until we get a replacement in the summer

If we had a genuine 2 to 3 million offer for any of our players they would be away. I think there's a good chance he'll be away in the summer anyway if he carries on as well as he's been doing unfortunately but this kind of talk should at least get a good offer in for him. 

If it turns out to be true then it would be "a massive thanks for all your goals and I wish you well in China Mr Hemmings", as has been said, a couple of million would set us up nicely and with the best will in the world if we tried to keep him he'd go on a free at the end of his contract.

As highly as I rate him, the club would have to take this offer. It could help to build the club's infrastructure.

It's a tough one, if true. On balance, i'd take it as well.

The more we progress as a club, the better talent we will attract which in turn will result in more situations like this developing. Look at our neighbours. And yes, they are in a mess now but that's because they got greedy IMO.

I know many will baulk at such a sale, but let's be realistic.

Even if he doesn't go for this move it's started getting him talked in the £2M to £3M bracket which can only be good.

I doubt we could turn down £2 for any of our players at any time of the season. If this bid comes in and Kane wants to go then it will happen.
