Team For Celtic

seen a lot of comments on other threads about which team should play on Wednesday night. With the Rangers game in mind this is what I would go for:

Bain

McGinn

Gadz

Julen

Holt

Kerr

Ross

Low

Wighton

Loy

Arturo

Stewart, Hemmings and Harkins to come on for last 20 and finish them off :) :)

I'd go with this team. Be good to freshen up the attack but we're going to need to be strong at the back and in the middle to avoid another doing.

-----------Bain

Kerr---O'Dea---Julen---Holt

---McGowan---Low---Ross

------------Wighton

--------Loy----Arturo

Tempted to play Mitchell given that Parkhead affected Bain's confidence so much last time but I haven't seen Mitchell play so can't really say for sure if it's a good idea.

I can't see O'Dea playing to be honest. He'll more than likely be rested after going off with an injury on Saturday. Would be daft to risk it.

Its a difficult one, the league is more important and we still need points to get top six (and to pull away from 11th) but the cup is a great opportunity of not one but two trips to Hampden. So i would make changes to the team for Celtic but I still think this offers us a chance of getting a point....

Bain

McGinn, Gadz, Jules, Holt

Kerr, Ross, Wighton, McGowan, Low

Loy

Bench. Mitchell, Arturo, Black, O'Dea, Colquhoun, Hemmings, Harkins

Would let Stewart recover after the kicking he got at the weekend and wouldnt have any intention of playing O'Dea, Hemmings or Harkins at all, just have them there to make up numbers.

That midfield would be utter madness. Can't just throw boys in there with no experience alongside them.

Was just taking the p*ss and hoping for an outraged response tbh. I would just pick something quite similar to our normal line-ups but use Stewart, Harkins and O'Dea from the bench. Just depends on fitness levels and that which Hartley will know about best.

Mcgowan and Ross have decent enough engines so I imagine they will manage both games no bother. Like you say Harkins and Stewart are the kind of ones which maybe need to be kept an eye on.
