Negative From Hartley

The substitute made by Hartley when Stewart got injured was so negative it completely changed the game and IMO was a poor decision. Harkins should have been subbed before Boyle. Great ball in fro Harkins for the goal but for the Rest of the game we might as well have played with 10 men, well 9 if you included Ferry.

To be fair there were a good number of below par performances today.  Harkins was the only player we had on the pitch who posed anything of a threat to Inverness imo and this showed today how much we miss McGowan.

Hard to judge any of the subs and tbh I don't think any of them were that bad.  Mcbride played well when he came on (was he involved in their 2nd goal - couldn't see from where I was) but in a 4-3-3 he isn't going to do the same job as Kevin Thomson ( who I thought was excellent until he picked up the injury).  Tankulic and Ferry did OK imo.

It just goes to show how differently people see football matches. I only mentioned Ferry as the sub that changed the game because we went into negative mode.

What apart from the whippedin free kick for the goal did Harkins do to threaten???

I thought we played well in the first half but once again our opponents move up a gear and we don't react, we still play at the same slow pace in midfield.

Had we won today, safety was within our grasp, it was a sore one to take.

We need to get rid of McAllister, Boyle, McBride and Ferrie, two or three new faces in January is essential.

Finally, why do Now dread the ball coming into our box from corners, we look like we will lose a goal every time we concede.

Things are looking bad for the Derby.

Please explain why things are looking bad for the Derby?

We have another 3 games before then against a bubble burst Hamilton and a struggling partick side, both away from home where we play better. As well as a game against soon to be managerless Saints. 3 Very winnable games.

As for McAllister, Boyle and Mcbride. According to the radio commentary, all 3 had a reasonably good game.

We are still better off at this stage of the season than any of us could of ever hoped for. I dont think its quite time to be hitting the panic button yet

I thought there were a few ropey substitutions today but hey, even PH can have  bad day at the office, I've thought he's made some iffy ones in the past but he proved me wrong so I was willing to defer. When Stewart went off I thought Wighton would have been a natural 'one for one' sub which wouldn't have meant any changes to positions etc. I was disappointed (but not surprised) when he took Boyle off, even when he's not getting the balls in, his pace makes him such a threat that the opposition have to get men back to cover him. Also Bain uses him for the quick throw/kick to get us up to the right end of the park.

If one swallow doesn't make a summer then equally one bad result doesn't mean that we're doomed. I'd have taken a draw before the game (and predicted a 1 all draw for my predictor league) and while they were the better team in the second half I was gutted we didn't hold on. If we had we'd be a bit smugger having nicked a point so I'm still upbeat.
