Worst United team in 20 or possibly 50 years, Hampden again for about the tenth time in ten years.

What is wrong with our football club? We f**k it up every single time bar none.

Near enough every man and their dog expected us to do well today and we get beat 4-0 going on 9-0 despite being a league above them.

Hartley got all credit for Parkhead so what today? Empty midfield, full backs shambolic and 4-0 going on 8-0 from a championship club that couldn't beat Alloa the other week.

We all feel your pain, we are so desperate for success that days like today are are real kick in the baws.

BUT, we are progressing at an incredible rate, just not there yet.

Tactics were shambolic today, yet again exposed, to our unbalanced squad of players, credit to The Rangers MANAGER , for noticing our MAJOR weakness in our left side of our team, but to be honest, Stevie Wonder and his dog could have, noticed this weakness, it's been there all season.

Yesterday was absolutely hellish. Worst I have felt in years apart from 6-2. 

Players bottled it IMO. Hartley went with a team that had been doing relatively well recently - I don't think anyone at kick off time would have complained about the selection (bar perhaps Loy out wide). That team should have been good enough to compete but the occasion mixed with the early goal and it was a recipe for disaster. 

It's up there with a long list of disappointments over the years. We love to bottle it when it matters most.

We're all gutted but this is hopefully just the start of Dundee competing for major honours on a regular basis. It's our second season after promotion and we're going to have to get used to these big occasions. Our players were overwhelmed but the experience will help prepare them for the next big cup game.

We've a good chance of a top four finish, and that along with a quarter-final would have to be seen as an excellent season. In the summer we can look to make a few signings that will help us go all the way in the cup and challenge for a place in Europe.

If I'm not mistaken fourth place is a European spot if Celtic win the cup, so there's plenty still to play for.

If we didn't know better it would seem our club and it's supporters are cursed to suffer for eternity.

PH has done a good job as Dundee Manager and I want him to be at Dens for the foreseeable future.

His weakness IMO is his inability to put fire in his players bellies when it is required, add to this his unbalanced team formations.

This is the main reason his tenure has been blighted by several heavy defeats in key games.

Next week Hearts will be out to exploit the obvious weaknesses on display yesterday, if the manager does not take the actions required then I fear the worse.
