Paul Mcgowan In The Courier...

So much for a bit of media silence and letting the football do the talking.

He can't criticise the formation or lack adapting it when things were going badly wrong, of course but saying it was all down to the early goal is just a scapegoat.

Intelligent that the 'Dens PR Machine' :) has used Gowser as the mouthpiece, as he was the best player on the park but it would have been good if some concern was shown towards the fans. No comment there on that subject in the piece.

Best player on the park ?

This player runs about like a headless chicken every week, people seem to buy into the "effort" thing, but I don't, runs in circles, always looking to slow the game up, always looking sideways or backwards for a pass, and very little end product. IMO

He was OUR best player by a mile on Sat (Although that's not something to be excited about)

After Hemmings, he'd be my POTY. We're a worse side without him. He's actually been getting more forward of late as well.

He was brutal on sat but so was everyone else.

As much as im no a great lover of him as a player i can see why dees like him given the effort he puts in but for me Mcgowan is very much like Mcmenamin in that all i see is a player running round daft like he`s on something.

I don't think anyone covered themselves in glory at the weekend. It was McGowan, along with Konrad, who crumbled to let in the killer third from the free-kick. What's the point in behind in a wall if you're terrified of taking a sore one? You'd be as well getting out of the way altogether so the keeper can see it coming.

Killer third? It could have been 6 or 7 by that point. Bain should done better btw

I said that in pub as i thought he could have got a stronger hand to it but im prob a bit unfair on Bain given that the wall didnt do its job properly and Bain seen the ball late and like you say score could have been alot higher by then.
