Particularly English clubs in FA Cup, League Cup and Europa Cup? Well we know its all about the money but fans and tv companies are being short changed here.  e.g Spurs team tonight.

In 50 years no one will ever talk about that time a club came third and made Europe, but they sure as hell would talk about that time they won the league cup/FA cup!

In fairness to Spurs, they have probably the best chance they ever have to win the Premiership. I can understand it.

The German press are astonished Kane has been left out -  can he not manage two games a week??  Would never have happened when Gillie was there!!  And they won plenty cups with him!!

Normally I'd agree but Spurs have a better chance of winning the Premier League than the Europa League, so I think it makes sense.

There's so many games and teams need to have priorities these days. Teams at that level could play 60 games in a season which is mental. The intensity of the game these days just means they can't keep that level up.

Cutting the Premiership to 18 or even 16 teams would do a lot for English teams in Europe and probably see them more willing to play stronger teams in these sorts of game. Too much money though and the Premiership is just too highly valued for it to be changed like that.
