Atmosphere

I don't get to many games now as I work the majority of Saturday's but was at yesterday's game and was shocked at the lack of atmosphere at the game. Apart from the Hearts fans bursting into song maybe four or five times there was nothing. The Derry was so quitte, no singing at all. Why has this happened as I remember when the away fans sang the Derry sang back. they didn't even do that yesterday. There was always a " hello, hello we are the Dundee boys " and other songs throughout the games. What has caused this lack of atmosphere ?

It was funny when both the Dundee and Hearts fans sang "Willie Collum your a w**ker"

Boy near me says we are as bad as willie collum which got a few laughs , we where fking shyte yesterday imo, should have been 3 down by half time.

Re atmosphere - see far too many dees checking scores on there phone, listen i do a coupin too but doesnt enter my mind till after game

Agree also that seen a dee with tangerine neck coloured jacket, also seen a boy whilst leaving with a brite tangerine t shirt under his jumper - what the fck is that aw about.

Good Hearts crowd today i thought but they werent noisy either bar 2 or 3 times.

2016 I'm afraid never had tangerine anything in life but young people now different, you will get accused of being a colourist.

I never like when our fans sing songs like that at the ref. I know if I was the ref I wouldn't be giving that team much in that case.

Hearts fans were singing it at him and booing him before the match; he still gave us fk all but fell for Juanma's diving every time. Disgrace of a referee.

Any body else notice the amount of times Dundee players had to take the ball about two yards out toward the line beside their dugout because Neilson was standing pointing at the line telling Collum where it should have been taken from? Very, very weak refereeing when you allow a manager or a player to dictate to you.

Atmosphere has been terrible all season bar the derby match. I think the away fans should be moved to the Bobby Cox and home fans in the Shankly, much closer to the Derry and maybe a recipe for a bit better atmosphere.

No way. I've sat in The Coxy since it was opened and was a Provie Road man before that. You don't get the sun in your eyes and the wind general doesn't blow straight into The Coxy. Can you say the same of The Shankly?

You were out voted on this by quite a margin on here the other year when we done a poll on it of i remember rightly ;)

All hypothetical though because the police are never going to move the away support back to the Provie Road end as there is no coach parking areas at that end of the stadium.

Does anyone think that the forced changes to the Derry have helped kill the atmosphere ?

If that is the reason for any change in atmosphere it seems like a cop out to me. I'm not having a go, I'm in the Main stand and I can't be arsed with some of the negativity there and I'm not a singer/shouter much myself but if you go to the SE for the singing etc then it shouldn't make any difference, its the people that make the party, not the venue.  :D
