Game is 2 weeks away but on the basis that Bain will be suspended then MItchell obviously steps in.

GGH is suspended I hear and imo Wighton stepping in is more a straight switch than playing Loy.  Apart for that, the same starting eleven for me.  Thoughts?

Same starting 11 for me apart from the enforced changes.

Don't know if it was because the formations matched up but I quite liked the three centre Haifa with Kerr/Holt as wing backs. Thought this took bit of pressure off of Holt and the two holding midfield players. Also think McGinn looks very comfortable In there but also has the ability to bring it out from the back when required.

I know it was against a poor United side but felt we looked a lot more balanced playing that way.

Fair enough.  I'm working on the basis/blind faith that two weeks will give all these boys sufficient recovery time.

I think it works quite well for the reasons you described. It was initially a bit awkward against Hearts but think we grew into it and started to look more comfortable in it. Think it also lets each defender play to their strengths (i.e. O'Dea and Gadzhalov are covered more for their lack of pace by McGinn and McGinn is covered for aerial ability and hand to hand combat).

I'd go for it again with:

              Mitchell

   McGinn O'Dea Gadzhalov

Kerr                                 Holt

      Ross McGowan Low

       Hemmings Stewart

Although could be convinced in Wighton for Low.

Yeah totally agree definitely think it's something we could develop over the rest of the season and it might just be the making of Holt.

Yeah Wighton or Low could step in or could we go with Loy and Hemmings up top with Stewart in behind?

I think I'd be tempted to try and Wighton in there. I like the industry in the midfield with those three, but there's maybe a lack of creativity.

That said, maybe that bite is what's needed against Ross Co.

I'd have Julen in, if he's fit and be tempted to start Wighton for Harkins. Can see the reason for picking Low for a bit of dig though.

Just as we've done with Kerr (and he hasn't really disappointed so far) I'd be tempted to say the same to Wighton - go on, the stage is yours - show us what you can do (in the Harkins role).
