I can't see where Killie will get the next win and to be honest they need at least a couple between now and the end of the season to be safe. While Utd are very very poor at the back they do look like then can score goals, even in the first half yesterday they created a couple of decent shooting opportunities but thankfully never hit the target and they have height with which to cause trouble at set pieces. There record over the last 8 games suggests they will pick up a few wins so wouldn't be surprised to see them 11th and if they do they will have enough to get past Falkirk, Hibs or Raith. So I hope to feck killie can get a couple of wins from somewhere as I want they feckers down!!

From what I've seen this season, Killie are 10x better than United. When it comes to playing the bottom 6 after the split, Killie will pick up more points.

Killie only lost 1-0 - courtesy of a 90th minute wonder strike - against the soon to be league champions at the weekend there.

United were getting pie'd from a fairly average showing from Dundee.

United are getting far too much credit from you, BJS.

I thought killie played well and Clark seems to have them more organised but they have very little up front to score goals so I can't see where there wins will come from. I'm not giving Utd credit just think they can out score the other teams in the bottom six and therefore might get more points than killie get and the form book from the last 8 or so games would show that I think. What is certain is if a team can keep a clean sheet against the dabs they will win the game as there defence is shocking to say the least. Here's hoping they don't win any of there 3 games before the spilt as that's the crucial three games for me. If the gap is still 6/7 points at the split then it will take a small miracle, if that gap is down to 3/4 points then they will be in the ascendancy and killies ar** will be twitching big style.

Just depends on if Killie give them the opportunity tbh. United have St Johnstone, Thistle and Inverness before the split and Killie have Thistle and St Johnstone. Gap is 7 points now and is just on the verge of doable going into the split but if they get that down, they are in with a reasonable chance at it if Killie implode while if the gap gets bigger before then, it looks pretty unlikely.

We also have interest in Killie winning their two games as it comes with the bonus of teams who we could be in competition with.

All this celebration about them being down for most of the season has me nervous about it. Would just be like us to have our support celebrate their impending relegation and then for it not to happen and them to win the cup or something ridiculous and us to get a point deduction for some reason and go down.

Think Mixu is just naturally pretty desperate and is just trying to get some sort of big moment to spur them on and raise the teams confidence. Killie do look much better and have been capable of grinding out results (and were very unlucky not to get a point against Celtic on Saturday) while United have shown nothing but it's not entirely unknown for a team to just come together at the last minute and pull something out of the bag. In our Bomber run, we were 13 points behind with 15 points to play for and although we were poor for all of the season, things come together and we started picking up points and getting results unexpectedly and nerves seemed to set in at Paisley. If we were 7 behind, I genuinely think we would have done it. It's unlikely but you can find numerous examples in football of this sort of thing happening.
