Saints have picked up recently and will be tough for them. Same with thistle. Ict just had a fine win too. All tough games.

What 'momentum' do they have?

Over three months ago, they were seven points behind. They've had this 'momentum' and run of victories - they remain, yup, seven points behind.

United's last 8 games (from Killie game onwards) W3 D2 L3 total 11 points (more than half their season total)

Killie last 8 games including the Tannadice capitulation W1 D1 L6 total 4 points

That's the momentum I mentioned.

I'm as happy as the next man to see them down, but with Killie being as bad as they seem to have been recently I'm not counting any chickens yet.

Why are you cutting it off at the last time they met?

Because it looks favourable for United?

Kilmarnock have changed manager and by all accounts look a lot better for it. United done the same earlier in the season and so far all I and everyone else has seen - they haven't improved one iota. Hence the exact same points of which they trail the team above.

12th for me.  They are a poor team and a bit behind Kilmarnock from what I've seen.

Don't want them to die as such but certainly looking forward to the time when the only Utd that is Dundee's 2nd team is Lochee United. :D

Yep, that's exactly why I chose that point in time, I'm a closet arab and desperately trying to make a case for their survival. You reckon?

The reason i chose that game was because that's the game i think gave them some impetus. No other reason. Honestly guv.

Didn't you read the stats? They have caught up 7 points on Killie in the 8 games I looked at. That should be enough to worry Killie fans, it would me if we were in the dogfight with United.

As I said in my original post, they have left it too late and time will run out.

Still expect Untied to get lucky and escape somehow but surely Killie will have got a lift from narrow defeats to celtic and Aberdeen plus the fact United in that time only picked up a point on them.

At least you're honest! ;)

And that fact alone should be enough to settle any doubts in your mind about my allegiance.😊

Seriously though, why would I try to make a case for United?

I never said you did, I asked why you chose that precise point. As in, why does momentum start from 8 games ago and not say, 5? Why would you pick the point United won their first league game in *** knows how long compared to when Killie won the week before?

You certainly did...you asked directly that question in your post!

Anyhow, I've already explained why i chose that point in time...it's where i believe Utd started their momentum from.

Yep, you can pick any game you like to start from but there has to be a logic there, I've given mine and stand by it.

Utd are terrible, I think they were better in January. I'll be surprised if they don't finish bottom and I think Killie are a better side than them.

Even if they do finish 11 they won't beat Hibs over 2 legs.

I've gotta disagree with you on that Pablo, Hibs buckle at the slightest pressure at the moment, it wouldn't surprise me if its Falkirk that plays 11th.

Which is your choice, I respectfully disagree that United have any momentum at all and are, for want of better word - fooked! :)

I thought Utd were better at Dens-thought that they were awful yesterday especially at the back where I've seen tankers turn more quickly and all the back three do is lump it-when Jackie got sacked they were 6pts adrift and after all that time they are now 7 behind-hardly momentum but I do admit that it is still doable but hopefully not!

United effectively had a free crack at Killie with 2 winnable games against us and Motherwell and Killie playing Aberdeen/Celtic. They gained a total of 1 point.

They are sh**e. They win games when the pressure is off. A couple of wins in the cup, and wins against Hearts and County when everyone (including themselves) had them down after being humped in their "must win" at home to Motherwell.
