Get the impression he doesn't have a future at Dens. Can't get a game at left back when Holt has clearly been needing a rest at times. Couldn't get a game on Sunday at centre half even when we had no other centre backs available. Kind of shows just how far down the pecking order he is.

To be fair, he only made his 20s comeback last week having been out injured for a long period of time and has only made the bench since the Celtic game. I think on Sunday it was a much better tactical decision playing McGinn there since we know he could cover there rather than a player who hasn't had much game time under his belt and might have gone off injured too.

His performance against Killie suggested he isn't cut out to play centre back at this level and Hartley hooking him at half time suggests he felt he was out of his depth there. However, he hasn't played at left back yet and I think there is a very high chance we'll see him sometime before the end of the season.

It'd be really helpful if when he gets the chance, he shows he can put in a shift at left back because getting players off the books is never the easiest option. Do really like him and thought he was a good player at Alloa so hoping that full time football has brought him up to scratch but we've just seen bad luck.

Noticed some hapless defending from his last week in the under 20s game where he set up a Rangers player then fell over. 1 min 50 seconds in.

Would still like to see him given a run in the first team in his favoured left back position though. He's here for at least another year so deserves a shot.

He is a left back who PH said is also more than capable of playing CH as he was very good in the air. It's a weird one, when we played against Alloa, he was a no nonsense hard tackling full back. Just what you think we've needed. He had a chance against Killie although he had to mark McGinnis (no easy task) and didn't show up well. That was also the game PH started with 4 out and out forwards with disastrous effect. You wouldn't have thought that one appearance would define his Dens career.

Wow that Rangers keeper was awful.

Also, that strike from Arturo was in by about 3 yards.

Being a bit harsh on him with that. Think he was taken by surprise at Priest completely missing the header. The fall could have happened to anyone.

Others have covered it but he's on the way back and hasn't played in a looooonnnnggg time for us so throwing him into the lions den would be a brave call. With Mitchell we didn't have the luxury of choice. Whether he has a future with us or not won't be defined by his non appearance last Sunday and I'm in the camp that wants to see him get a go at left back to see what we've got.
